Some friendly advice that will make your shoot go smoothly.
1. Reserve your time slot early.
Each hour will be broken down into 8, 15 min time slots.
4 slots on the spring background and 4 slots on the modern black on a first come, first served basis.
Registering early ensures that you get your first choice of time and background.
Extra hours will open up once all the available slots fill.
2. Coordinate your family outfits to match.
From classic casual like jeans and T-shirts, to semi casual dresses and button up shirts,
your family pictures will look the best when you all dress similar.
3. Think about props.
Does the family share a hobby like golf or surfing? Bring some clubs or a board.
If your child plays sports or an instrument, bring a football, or drumsticks for example.
Even a favorite toy or doll can be included.
These are your pictures and you should want to personalize them as much as possible.
4. Arrive on time.
On time means about 20 mins early. That will give you a chance to get signed in and freshen up in the restrooms prior to your shoot.
There will be some activities like coloring books for the younger children to use while they wait.
Try not to arrive more than 30 mins before your scheduled time as space is limited.
5. Prepare your children.
Young children should be told ahead of time what is going to happen.
Make it fun for the whole family, plan a reward activity or special lunch for behaving well.
We want every shot to be a keeper with no crying children or upset parents.
6. Have fun.
Relax, be yourself, and let go a little.
We plan on having fun and are not above acting goofy to coax a smile out of your young ones.
